Pastor Rudy Rasmus Featured In The Next Three Issues Of Oprah’s “O, The Oprah Magazine” In The Column, “What Do I Do Now?”
Spirit Rising Music author, Pastor Rudy Rasmus, has been commissioned to contribute to a one page column entitled, “What Do I Do Now?” for Oprah’s “O, The Oprah Magazine.” Pastor Rudy will be part of the “Do the Right Thing: The O Panel.” The column will debut in the May 2007 issue which will arrive on stands April 17, 2007.
Pastor Rudy’s column contribution will help readers as they try to figure out the right thing to do in each of their unique situations. They will write in with questions and Pastor Rudy will answer them in the column. He will often address the topic of ethics vs. etiquette and right vs. wrong. His unique brand of faith sharing and radical hospitality is what everyone experiences when they encounter him, and now he is bringing it to “O.”
Pastor Rudy is the author of a new book entitled Touch: The Power of Touch in Transforming Lives. The book is part of a total experience, The Pastor Rudy Experience, which includes a music/DVD project titled Vol. I TOUCH, book and soon to be released audio book series all released on Mathew Knowles’ Spirit Rising Music. Pastor Rudy has been transformed with love, hope and faith. From a hustler on the streets running an hourly motel, to becoming the Pastor of a church living to touch and heal hearts; this is The Pastor Rudy Experience.
Touch is a book that will transcend many genres and reach many different readers from all walks of life. It is a human testimony, in part, and a chronicle of the lessons he’s learned over his years. It is a sly teaching device that both comforts and challenges.
In addition to Pastor Rudy’s new column and his book release, Pastor Rudy will be appearing on TBN airing in May. Trinity Broadcasting Network's Praise the Lord show taped from his church, St. John's, on Sunday April 15, 2007 for national airing in May. The 2 hour show will feature Pastor Rudy Rasmus, his Co-Pastor & wife Juanita Rasmus, Christian Comedian/Singer/Songwriter Mark Lowry and performances from Mathew Knowles’ Spirit Rising Music artists Trin-i-tee 5:7, Ron Summers and Brian C. Wilson.

Welcoming the homeless to the pews has been one of Pastor Rudy Rasmus' missions since 1992 when he first arrived at St. John's United Methodist Church.
Though a Christian for only about a year, the real estate broker and former manager of a "borderline bordello" was dispatched to the church by the Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell of Windsor Village United Methodist Church. For more, click here.

The Pastor Rudy Experience
While the music on the Pastor Rudy Experience was birthed inside the four walls of the church, the contemporary sound easily transcends those boundaries. The featured artists on Volume I: Touch are: Brian C. Wilson, Ron Summers and Soulfruit with a guest appearance from Adrian Anderson of Trin-i- tee 5:7.
The album will be released with a bonus dvd of the experience at St. John’s United Methodist Church on a Sunday morning. Included are live performances of album cuts, visits from national artists, highlights of a sermon titled: “Trapped In the Closet,” heart-felt testimony of life transformation and St. John’s G.A.N.G. (Gods Anointed New Generation) youth ministry.

• The book will have its official launch September 2006 and the first audio book in the series will come during the 2006 Christmas holiday.
• The P.R.E Volume II will be released Easter 2007 with a simultaneous audio book release.
THE MISSION
The Bread of Life Foundation and St. John’s UMC have provided meals seven days a week feeding the Houston, TX downtown homeless community distributing 15,000 lbs of fresh food every week. A portion of proceeds from cd/dvd and book sales will be donated to Bread of Life to support it’s continuing efforts.
